Hello Idaho Air & Coffee Classic Porsche Attendees,
This is our third update for the Idaho Air Classic Porsche event on May 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We will send a final update shortly before the event.
I'm excited to share that we have a full house with 80 cars which is the maximum for our facility. To our knowledge, this is now the ***single largest classic Porsche event in the Pacific Northwest.*** Given the strong response to this inaugural event, we'd like to start sharing some important details with you.
**Location and entrance**\
Attached to this email is a photo of the space and parking concept. There will be one entrance/exit location. The event is held at The Glovebox (a private garage facility generously offered up by the Browning Family). Address: 3540 N Eagle Rd, Meridian, ID 83646
Reminder: The Glovebox is a private garage. Display owners with wristbands may wish to check out the cars inside the garage but they will require the wristband at the door. At this time, we are not opening the interior of the garage to the public.
**Parking procedure**\
We will not open for parking prior to 8am. Any cars coming earlier will need to wait on the side of the road [in this "staging area."](https://share.cleanshot.com/95V0mRnr) There will be a crew on-site, **generally wearing green Idaho Air "Crew" shirts.** At the entrance, crew members will check to ensure you are on the registration list and will provide wristbands. Wristbands will be available for the driver and a "co-pilot" (e.g., a spouse, friend, etc.). Any air-cooled Porsche owner who arrives and is not on the registration list will either be directed to the overflow area on the grass or, unfortunately, may be turned away depending on available space in that grass "row." In any case, please follow the instructions of the volunteer crew. Their job is to ensure all registered cars are parked safely and that all registrants have adequate space. Although the parking stripes are angled, we will be parking perpendicular to maximize space efficiency.
**Reserved spaces\
**In the attached image, you'll notice spaces marked by pink cars. These are reserved for a few especially unique vehicles-such as those with extremely rare colors or models-as well as for display owners who have generously contributed large amounts of time behind the scenes to help make this event possible. These reservations are made at my discretion, and I appreciate your understanding. If the reserved cars have not yet arrived, the spaces will be marked with orange traffic cones. In all other cases, we're not reserving dedicated spaces for every car. It would be too difficult to manage. Instead, we'll rely on the parking crew to guide everyone as mentioned above.
**Food & Beverage**\
There will be a Costa Rican "drip coffee" cart at one end of the lot. On the other end of the lot towards The Glovebox entrance will be an espresso cart. Be patient with the espresso cart team as there is one espresso machine. The food truck is [listed on the website.](http://www.idaho-air.com/) We'll bring some donuts as well but I suspect they will go fast.
**Live Music**\
We'll have live musicians near the front door of the private garage. Please be mindful of their equipment, cables etc.
**Poster prints and tee-shirts\
**Near the front door, you'll find two tables featuring a limited edition of 50 art prints created especially for this inaugural event. These prints are produced on high-quality, art-grade flat stock paper (no curling!) using fine-art giclée printers. They're perfect for framing in standard 16×20 frames or simply enjoying as they are.
In addition, we're offering a limited run of 55 t-shirts, available in sizes Small through XL. With more attendees than shirts, these are expected to sell quickly! Prices will be marked on the items. Venmo is the preferred payment method, though we will also have a card reader available for your convenience. All proceeds will help offset a portion of the event and production costs.
**What else?\
**In the final update before the event, we'll be uploading images of the "1 of 1" handmade, locally made watch which was specifically built by [Hoursmiths](http://www.hoursmiths.com/) for this event. It will be viewable by the front tables. More details about winning the watch will be posted on the Idaho Air website and mentioned at the event.
**Pets**\
Please be courteous of other owners as it relates to pets. I do not bring our pets as they need time to warm up to strangers. However, I would imagine most owners might be even more concerned about paw & claw marks from larger dogs jumping up onto doors etc. This event is best suited to human owners & attendees but if you bring an animal, thank you in advance for being mindful. Pets are not allowed inside The Glovebox itself.
**Thank you**\
Many thanks to our supporters who have helped us produce this event and who have encouraged us along the way. They are listed on the Idaho Air website. Especially thanks to the Idaho Air parking crew, who are volunteering their time.
The next update will be a few days before the event and will repeat some of what was provided here. Don't hesitate to reach out and say hello or let me know if you need anything at the event. To make us easier to find, there are photos of myself and Daria that can be found on [my personal website](http://www.kellysmith.com/) or [my Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/curiousoffice).
Until then,

Hello Idaho Air & Coffee Porsche Event Attendees,
This is our second email update, and you can always find these updates posted on the website at www.idaho-air.com.
We’re currently sitting at 70 registered cars, so now is the time to reach out to friends and fellow enthusiasts who may not yet know about the event or haven’t registered. We’ll aim to accommodate approximately 5–10 more cars. Earlier today, we walked the property again and feel confident that we have space for a maximum of 80 cars. If you must cancel, please be sure to let us know so that we can make room for another owner.
I’ll be disabling registrations and updating the website shortly, but I’ll continue working with owners via email to ensure that any cancellations can be backfilled by others hoping to join. Like some other Porsche gatherings (Luftgekühlt, etc.), this is not a PCA-sponsored event, though many PCA members will be in attendance. Word of mouth is bringing the classic Porsche community together, so please forward this email or the website link to like-minded owners.
Some of you I know, but most of you I don’t—so a quick intro: my wife, Daria, and I moved to Idaho nearly five years ago from northern Michigan, where I worked for Hagerty, the classic car insurance company. We absolutely love it here, and it’s no surprise this community is growing so quickly. Idaho has so much to offer and is truly one of the best places in the world to live. We both work in tech, have a six-year-old daughter, two small dogs, and a particular fascination with rare or oddball Porsche colors.
Latest Idaho Air & Coffee Event Updates:
- A volunteer group will guide drivers into parking spaces
- Wristbands will be provided to drivers for entry in and out of The Glovebox
- On-site restrooms will be available
- A food truck and espresso cart will be on site, accepting both cash and cards
- Fine art event poster prints will be available
- We’re working on t-shirts, hats, and other merchandise
- A few awards will be given out—including one incredible, 1-of-1 handmade Swiss watch (locally made specifically for this event). Details and voting info will be posted on the website
- Since our last update, several supporting businesses—including the most winning Porsche racing team Kellymoss, Park Place LTD, Spitfire Grill, Hemlock Prime Steak, and others—have offered vehicle owner benefits. Please check them out on the website
We’re so excited to welcome you all to the inaugural Idaho Air & Coffee. Whether you’re coming from across town or out of state, thank you for being part of what we hope will become a special tradition for air-cooled Porsche lovers in the region. We can’t wait to meet everyone, see the cars, and share a great day together. Email or call my mobile any time with questions.
Until the next update,
Kelly & Daria Smith

Hello Idaho Porsche enthusiasts!
Just like that, we're nearly at capacity for the first inaugural, 100% classic Porsche "Cars & Coffee" event after just a couple of days! We've already hit our goal of 50+ display entrants, but we're evaluating the space to make room for more. We're working with The Glovebox team on space usage, and I'll let you know very soon when the display list is fully closed. I can assure you there will be some incredible cars at the event! Between now and Saturday, May 10, I'll send occasional updates to the registration list. If you want to be removed from these emails, reply directly to me, and I'll remove you from the updates.Registration, news, updates, poster sales etc will be on the website at: www.idaho-air.com
Here are some highlights thus far:
- An espresso coffee cart is confirmed. They’ll accept cash and cards.
- We’re working on a food truck, but we’ll ensure snacks are available one way or another. If you know someone with a food truck, please reply directly.
- Large-format, premium posters will be for sale at the event, produced on fine-art giclée printers using 100% cotton paper. Check the website for online purchasing and shipping in sturdy poster tubes. The Smith Family Trust (my family and I) takes no proceeds or profit from anything sold at the event.
- Hoursmiths is crafting a custom Swiss watch for this event. It will go to the car with the most "Best of Show" votes. In case of a tie, I’ll work with the watchmaker to make the final call. We’re fortunate to have a highly experienced Swiss watch repairer and maker right here in Boise!
- Those displaying cars will receive wristbands for coming and going inside The Glovebox.
- A photo and video specialist, who typically works for Gaudin/Henderson Porsche in Las Vegas, will fly in for professional photos. We’ll post them all on the website.
- Printed cards with your name and car(s) will be available at the front table if you choose to display them on your car.
- A small team of volunteers will guide cars as you arrive.
- If you need to cancel, please let us know so we can accommodate another car. It’s now clear we’ll be at full capacity.
- Cars arriving later in the morning may need to park on the opposite side of the main lot, so plan accordingly.
- Local businesses interested in offering promotions to the classic Porsche community, please contact me directly. I’ll ensure you’re on the website and have space for materials at the front tables. If you’re a local business wanting to display event flyers, reach out, and I’ll get them to you.
- A special thank you to everyone bringing cars from out of town and to our friends who are helping us organize this event.
Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Until the next update,
Kelly & Daria Smith
